Experts are embracing the technique that has been practised across Africa for many years, called baby wearing. Carrying your baby close to you in a sling, carrier or wrap is referred to as ‘baby wearing’. It is one of the most wonderful ways a mother can nurture her baby, and there is a lot more to it than just convenience.  Dr Welma Lubbe, a registered nurse and advanced midwife and lecturer, shares baby wearing safety and the benefits of baby wearing.
