International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, TaNefer Lumukanda, was inspired to record a song and video that taught women how to breastfeed. Sung to the tune of "Teach Me How to Dougie", I couldn't stop laughing for the full 3 minutes. But maybe that's just me and my weird sense of humour. Honestly, I'm not sure how informative the song is. I didn't learn much but that's mostly because I was laughing too much to take it seriously.
But it's supposed to be a fun way to support mothers that want to breastfeed or those who have doubts about it.
TaNefer said "people sing about everything and make up all types of songs objectifying women’s bodies, so why not write a song to help support women learning to feed a child?"
While the cause is noble I'm not so sure about the execution.
Take a look at the video and tell us what you think?
What did you think, was it helpful or hilarious?
