"I imagined him looking for me, and I wasn't there for him": A mom, her baby and the longest week of her life

It's difficult being away from your babies so we're here to tell you it's completely acceptable to randomly burst out into tears. We know we have.
It's difficult being away from your babies so we're here to tell you it's completely acceptable to randomly burst out into tears. We know we have.

A reader, Noni, sent us this letter that we can all relate to!

"I had a meeting at 8 on a Monday morning. I cried throughout the meeting and the whole day after.

I would imagine him standing by the window looking for me and I was not there for him.

People at work kept asking what was wrong, purely out of concern. I answered, "My son."

'Cause I was crying I couldn't speak, so everyone thought something bad had happened to him.

Hugs were coming my way from all angles till I said, "It's his first day at nursery."

Then they burst out laughing.

That was the longest week of my life.

Thanks for the platform to remind mommies how much their kids mean to them.

– Noni

A happy ending: Noni followed up writing, "He was just 8 months then, he's 4 years now – Monday meetings are a bliss."
