A reader, Noni, sent us this letter that we can all relate to!
"I had a meeting at 8 on a Monday morning. I cried throughout the meeting and the whole day after.
I would imagine him standing by the window looking for me and I was not there for him.
People at work kept asking what was wrong, purely out of concern. I answered, "My son."
'Cause I was crying I couldn't speak, so everyone thought something bad had happened to him.
Hugs were coming my way from all angles till I said, "It's his first day at nursery."
Then they burst out laughing.
That was the longest week of my life.
Thanks for the platform to remind mommies how much their kids mean to them.
– Noni
A happy ending: Noni followed up writing, "He was just 8 months then, he's 4 years now – Monday meetings are a bliss."
