“I want my boobs back!”
How do men deal with the sexuality of breasts vs. breastfeeding?
Many a man has come to gaze upon their own offspring greedily suckling away at their partners’ nipples and realized that something’s not quite right with this picture. The shock can sometimes be so traumatic that it could even result in the man straying for a spell! Grown men have become jealous of their own babies, as they watch them form an intimate bond with their partners.

So what is it about the sexuality of the female breasts that confounds us so when they become feeding mechanisms? The complexities range from the breastfeeding vs. formula argument, to strange fetishes of some men who even have fetishes that involve lactating partners. You may be completely unaware that male “breasts” are actually capable of producing milk and we can also get breast cancer!

Understanding lactation and why it happens and the advantages for your children, goes a long way in putting to bed any weird connotations we (men) might have on the subject.

I will be tackling these issues on Who’s Your Daddy? on DSTV’s Mindset Channel 319 live at 21:00, this Saturday 15, October 2011.

Guests include leading sexologist Professor Elna McIntosh who will shed light on to the way we (men) view breasts from a sexual perspective. Also to be discussed will be breastfeeding and its advantages with Brenda Campbell, an expert on the subject. Watch the show and see how we demystify this natural function of the human body.
