Help! I haven’t slept in days!

Dear Parent24,
My 8 month-old has always been a good sleeper and has slept through the night since 7 weeks old. He started crawling at 7 months old and since then, he wakes up frequently at night, trying to crawl in his sleep and even stand in his cot. We battle to put him back to sleep and he cries & moans because he is so tired but wants to be active. He eats well and has been on solids since 4 months old. What can we do to get him to sleep through?

Parent24 Baby expert Megan Faure replies:
Make sure he has enough protein in his solids diet. Get him a doodoo blanky of sorts so he can learn to self sooth at night. Put him in a baby sleeping bag as this will prevent him from crawling and moving about the cot as well as keep him warm at night.
