Most classic pictures of a breastfeeding mother show the cradle position. But you can also try holding your baby in other ways, and even vary it depending where you are.
Correct positioning and latch-on are essential to a comfortable, successful breastfeeding experience. It is important that you feel comfortable and relaxed as you could be breastfeeding for about 30 minutes each time. It’s no fun to be halfway through a feed and your back is in agony.
Get assistance from a lactation consultant, nurse, or another qualified healthcare provider. That will go a long way in helping you master the techniques of breastfeeding, while building your confidence.
