We asked our Facebook fans: “Does your child sleep through the night?” Here’s what they had to say.

No, I wish.

I have a 2 year old that wakes up 2 am sharp. And from there it’s chaos. I am re doing the room to see if it helps. - Estelle van Rensburg

Not even 1 out of 3! - Anja Erasmus

7 Months and wakes up anywhere from 4am on a bad day 5am on a good one...3 year old often wakes in the night 1-3 times. A good day is when they both sleep to 5am. More HELP needed here. - Caro De Waal

I wish! 3 year old still comes to our bed 6 out of 7 nights of the week. 7 year old when he has a nightmare (thankfully not often and he makes a bed on the floor). - Rebecca Van Eeden

Mine is 17 months and doesn't sleep through, I still breastfeed him, so when he does wake and I go feed him I fall asleep next to him in his bed! And you thought you had it bad! Lol - Michele Mendonca Wood

Oh God. This whole discussion is reminding me of those nights when I'd walk into baby Benj's room... and find him standing crying in a pool of his own vomit. At least once a week. I'm still harbouring unreasonable anger about it. - Sam Wilson

Yes, it’s a dream.

My daughter has been sleeping through since she was 7 weeks old. She usually wakes up at about 7.30 during the week and anything up to 09.30 on a weekend (if the house is still quiet) - we are very blessed. - Kate Crumpton

Yes, since around 6 weeks old. She is now 3 and sleeps from around 8pm to 6am. - Brigitta Ellis-Nel

Mine "sleep walk" from her bed to ours, snuggle in between her dad and me and continue sleeping like nothing happened! - Ursula Fortuin

Oh he does sleep like an angel - Connie Sathekge

I'm blessed with a 5 year old he is sleeping through and my 18 month old is off his bottle and sleeps through as well. - Louise Van Coller Burrows
