Kiddie foods: Eggs and magic sauce
Chicken in a basket and magic sauce. Ever so yummy for your toddler!

Chicken in a basket

This is definitely a favourite in most homes but for your little one give the regular 'toad in a hole' a twist.

A slice of toast with a hole in the middle, an egg fried into that with a special touch of broccoli and hey presto! You've got fun easy food that I can guarantee the kids will love.
It's such fun for the little ones, you dip the broccoli in the eggie and whoops it goes into the mouth with a smile. Try it with a bit of ‘special tomato sauce’ for dipping.

Magic green sauce

This is something that you can make and freeze for when you need it. It is packed full of all the green goodies, and is well hidden in things like bolognaise sauce for cottage pies and lasagnes. It's also great for soups and stews, plus it turns mash green!

Try these green eggs and ham! It’s magic.

Magic sauce

1 packet baby spinach
1 head of broccoli
1 pack of green beans
1 packet baby marrows
1 bunch parsley
200ml chicken stock

Wash everything and cut the tips off the beans. Cut everything up into pieces and steam for 5-10 minutes, until just done.
The vegetables need to be soft but not losing their colour.

Place immediately into a food processor with the chicken stock and blend until very smooth.
The secret here is to blend it whilst it is still HOT. It will go super smooth and that is the most important thing here.

Serve up with which ever foods you like and enjoy your toddler marvelling at his now green lunch!
