Becoming a mother is one the most precious moments in any woman’s life.  Some of the lucky ladies on our blogs have shared their birth stories with us. Take a look at what they had to say:

The Labour & Birth story

“I'm speechless mostly, as I don't think there's any way to describe [my  birth experience].
The birth was MUCH faster than expected & I am amazed I coped with feeling what I believe was 80% of labour pains.
DH was an amazing birth partner, who got a few scratches & a bit of a tongue lash when he tried encouraging me thru the second phase of labour by telling me I needed to just push for another 15mins. I was horrified & made it quite clear 5mins was TOO MUCH MORE!
Meeting my baby: How do u describe the joy of feeling as if you're living a lifetime of dreams all in 1 moment?” – Aydee

“By the time we got [to the hospital], I was 5 cm's dilated. Stanley kept on throughout the whole pregnancy that we should wait till my water's broke before we went, but let me tell you, I'm glad I didn't, because by the time I was 9 cm’s my water's still haven’t broken, and they had to break it for me. So Raymond was born at 19:15 that evening. It was the most difficult thing I ever went through, I think Michael was small enough at 2,5 kgs for me not to have felt the pain that I felt this time round. I mean, Raymond was a whole 800grams heavier!!” – Caz

I’m a mommy!

“We went for the induction on Thursday 18 March, I was so nervous and scared that I barely slept the night before and I was soaked in sweat before we even entered the labour ward.  When the nurse did her first examination, she found that I was already 3 cms dialated, which made me feel a whole lot better about the forcing nature thing.  I relaxed and decided to go for the epidural.  The epidural was done quite early, so I realy didn't feel much of the contractions and I spent the day watching the clock and visualising dialating further.” – Pizzicatto
