Pandas are extraordinary creatures but are unfortunately endangered and very difficult to breed. Mainly due to the fact that their conception period is only 2 to 3 days per year! That's why every little panda that's born is important and precious.
Take a look at how Yuan Yuan, a giant panda, gave birth to her little cub at Chengdu Panda Base in China.
Panda fun facts
- A fully grown panda can be more than 4 feet tall and weigh anything from 100kg to 150kg.
- A newborn panda cub generally weighs between 85g and 140g. So tiny!
