My 6-year old daughter's snacks generally consist of fruit (both fresh and dried), seeds, nuts, cheese and yoghurt but she has the occassional craving for a packet of crisps or a bit of chocolate (although she rarely seems to get past the second bite). She does have a huge weakness for biltong though, so I generally stick to ostrich or game bilton to try and keep that on a healthier scale. Both her father and I are fairly healthy eaters and she's picked up our habits even though we don't parent from the same home. Leading by example truly is the only way when it comes to parenting, it seems.
