My little girl turns 3 in January. Piper's an only child so you can imagine how much we love to spoil her. She's just a tiny little bit sick right now, only a little cold so I'm not really worried... not that I didn't have the swine flu paranoia for about 2 days.
Getting back to the point... Piper is such a little drama queen so she's always so excited about the smallest things and makes a huge scene about just about everything. So when she gets sick I always like to join her. When her nose starts to run again, we throw our hands in the air and pretend that the runny nose is the biggest crisis we need to deal with for the whole day, and we run around desperately looking for toilet paper or tissues... "Where's the toilet paper, where are the tissues... help help, WE NEED A TISSUE!!".
Apart from that, I tend to spoil her as much as I can, we've got our matress on the lounge floor at the moment, so during the day, we've got the fireplace going, we watch tv, do puzzles, play her memory card games and we do a lot of painting... we're painting pictures on her bedroom wall today with waterpaint, it's gonna be great! I also let allow her to eat more sweets than usual (this is when I play doctor and I prescribe some medicine for her..."3 smarties 3 times a day, and for the cough 2 jelly tots 3 times a day..." The prescription changes daily though...
And since I have to add a little responsibility to my parenting skills, I dose her with Pegasus Homeopathic kit all day long! My doctor recommended it and that's why we haven't seen him for almost a year... great stuff!
Isn't parenting just so wonderful...
