Family phrases

I am usually a very impatient person and unfortunately my little boy of 5 has got that from me.

 Now being Afrikaans has its perks. Children of 5 usually want everything their little eyes see and I taught my son the word "GEDULD".  Every time he gets impatient I ask him, "wat se mamma altyd?" and he’d answers "GEDULD".

Now with that little phrase many a tear has been spared, because he has learned that to wait for something has its benefits.
