I have been a Mommy for 11 months now....my son is turning 4 in December, his birth mom passing away 2 weeks after he was born.
Being alone just him and his dad for 2 and half years you can imagine were not as full of hugs as it would be in a normal situation with a Mommy around and i can see that in him today. He needs his hugs and i don't think there is a line until of course he grows up and starts getting embarrassed when i drop him off at school and want to smother him with a hug in front of his friends.
So I think (especially in Zander's situation) that there is no such thing as too many hugs...
Regards
