Most times I feel like a teenager, especially when my 16 year old daughter brings her friends home and we ALL play 30 seconds or watch a movie or sit and chat or play table tennis and go onto Facebook. I feel so good when they have a disco and I dance and dance but then I feel old again when they want to play Twister!!!!
My poor body can’t “twist” like their young bodies! Or when they go to the beach!!!!! I certainly don’t look like a teenager with a bikini on!!!! And when they swim in the pool like dolphins (practically under the water the whole time)! And then I think of all the responsibility that parent’s have and I wish I was 16 again (maybe with a mind of 46 year old and a body of a 16 year old – that could work – wouldn’t want to go through boyfriends and breaking up and going out and heartache all over again!) with not a care in the world – but still, mentally, I still feel 16 .
