Our maintenance issue

accreditation

Myself and my daughters father have never been married and we have not been together since my daughter was born she is now 4 will be 5 in September.

Her father wanted to keep the maintenance out of court n so we made a private arrangement he has been paying me R1500 a month which just covers her school fees and clothes. He has now left his job and cant pay me maintenance any more.

I depend on the maintenance 100% because my salary cant pay for our rent school fees food debts clothing etc. I don't really know what my rights are here can he stop paying because he left his job? He was not fired he just simply got mad at his boss and left.

I'm having a panic attack, I don't know if going to court will help as he doesn't have work someone told me that if the father doesn't have a job he cant be forced to pay maintenance.
