Hi
The 3 week holidays seem daunting I know.
We usually do some of the following:
* bake with mommy - my two boys, Josh and Matt, simply love baking cookies and devouring their creations afterwards!...of course we all need to lighten up a little and not worry too much about the inevitable mess!
* for the days that I cannot get off, I would print out word search 'homework' for my 7yr old and colouring pages for my 5yr old and we ooh and aah when I get home from work
* Play station and cartoon network is restricted they can only watch during certain times(I give my helper the 'schedule) it helps that we live opposite a park!
* I created a 2 page of Fun things to do with the Family and each child gets to choose something off the list every other day (things like hiring a DVD - miniature golf or creating a play etc)
* I encourage them(especially the older one) to read..so I would get books from the library and he would read and then has to retell the story either in his own words or act out the story with Matt
Thanks
Natalie
