I LOVE the whole father Christmas, Easter Bunny thing, tooth fairy, so really didn’t want to tell my kids they don’t exist, BUT I really believe we should tell our kids the truth.
So I have opted for telling my kids to trust their instincts/intuition and to listen to their inner voice. So when my 7 yr old starting questioning whether Father Christmas exists last year, I just always tell him to trust that feeling that is making him question it and to believe in what he is feeling inside, it doesn’t matter what anyone else says.
If he really pushes it and really wants to know this year and doesn’t want my “trust your inner voice” speech, I will tell him the truth and I won’t tell him to keep it a secret.
