What's This?
In a country where 10% of the population is paying 90% of the taxes (you guessed it - the RSA, where 5,3 million taxpayers pay for 13,5 million people on welfare grants - ask Clever Trevor), and where white taxpayers are called 'white dogs who must die' by members of the police force who are supposed to protect them (and who fail quite abjectly at that particular task into the bargain), how come it's OUR problem? I can't quite reconcile the guilt I'm supposed to feel with the way the government is mismanaging the funds (record amounts of taxes, it must be noted - tax collection is the one thing other than corruption that the ANC government excels in) in their coffers that should be used to 'help' these individuals. Again, I'm not too sure why my choice to have only the number of children I can afford as opposed to the indiscriminate breeding of the greater majority of the population out there means that I should fork out yet more and more money to support their breeding habits. Let's just mention that the governmental approach to the HIV/AIDS pandemic is the primary cause of this problem of child-headed households, and just ask why THEIR mismanagement should provoke feelings of guilt in me and mine. My finances are not unlimited - unlike, it would appear, those of the ANC. Perhaps it's time you pointed your fingers at them - or rather, voted against the ANC and their corruption and mismanagement in the upcoming elections. That's a far more important thing for each one of you to do than to give money to a problem you're ALREADY paying for, that you DIDN'T cause, and that you will never be able to eradicate until some sort of morality is established and observed in this country. As for giving yet more money, well... Sorry, I gave at the office...
