Entrepreneur #TeenBoss Workshop

accreditation

Placing youth in the spotlight this month, young teens have the chance to design their own futures this school holiday, at the very first #TeenBoss workshop taking place from 29 June to 01 July at the River Club, Cape Town.

The workshop is hosted by NPO Trust, SA Teen Entrepreneur Foundation, in association with Over the Rainbow and Entrepreneur and Management Solutions.

The workshop encourages students to turn their passion into a profitable business and equips them with the tools to do so.

"With the unemployment rate at its highest since 2005, and youth unemployment at an alarming 37.7%, we want to instil an entrepreneurial outlook into the hearts and minds of young South Africans and inspire a generation of innovative thinkers who can design their own future," says Lydia Zingoni, #TeenBoss Workshop representative.

The #TeenBoss course material will cover all the aspects of launching a business, from identifying the target audience, funding, sourcing materials, marketing and branding to finally pitching a business idea.

Students will team up to exchange ideas and work together to build a business plan which they will present on the last day of the workshop to a panel of judges.

Tickets can be purchased via Webtickets for R1450 per student.

Help sponsor a child and pay only R1950 for both to attend.

The cost includes lunch, refreshments, notes and follow up mentoring post-workshop.

Proceeds from the ticket sales go toward funding the SA Teen Entrepreneur programmes including setting up entrepreneur societies in schools.
