Well I have a six year old now in grade1 and he is more advanced than all the children in his class. his development was far quicker than his two siblings, started crawling at 4.5 walked at 7months so all his development was quick started reading at 3 and half on his own. what has happened at school is that even though cognitevily/intellectually his far advanced his fine motorskills were a bit behind and we worked together with the teacher in helping him there. I am no expert but i learned that all of my kids are somehow far advanced for their age but that has never bothered me as I'd like to think its in their genes since their dad finished school at 16
