Hi there Please can you advise me of something, my son is about 7 months old, people kept telling me, don't make him stand too much or he'll get bendy legs, is this true? He is quite strong, so when he holds my fingers with his hands, he pulls himself up to a standing position and he like jumps... will this give him bendy legs or is that just a superstition? Please advise, thank you. I hope I asked this question in a way that you can understand what I mean.

Answer

It is nonsense - babies love to stand and bounce on their legs and it is good for him. Soon he will start to cruise along furniture and by a year of age will be walking.
