Not happy with my 16 year old

I have a 16 year old son, who goes out every weekend, and suddenly everything is a secret. He is like a puppy and he will follow anyone and do anything. I am so upset because he’s with people who drinks alcohol & smoking marijuana he knows education is important and he is not passing year 11, so he has to do it again next year but I don’t want him to go to that high school anymore. Is sending him to a boarding school the answer or is it too late?

Boarding school is a structured and disciplined environment that suits many. It is important to note that boarding school does not suit everyone, and he may feel contained and frustrated in that structured environment, but right now he also needs to realise that education is his number one priority.

It is never too late to go into boarding, but some schools may have internal regulations regarding admissions.
