You can have intercourse anytime in your pregnancy, as long as it is comfortable for you and your partner. There are some medical circumstances where you should be careful and consult you healthcare provider.

  • Placenta previa
  • Premature labour in this pregnancy (even if it has stopped)
  • Unexplained vaginal bleeding or abnormal discharge
  • Abdominal cramping
  • Cervical insufficiency (Incompetent cervix)
  • A dilated cervix
  • Your water has broken (Ruptured membranes)
