Q.

Shy Child

My son is in Grade 1 and is an only child. His teacher from last year asked us to have him assessed which we did by a Clinical psychologist who found him to be borderline ADHD. I have not put him on any medication however he does take the Brain Child. He was extremely shy last year and although this year it is better he still does not want to take part in activities at school ie. go-kart races, fun fair etc. Also if I take him to a party and I stay he clings onto me and does not even want to sing Happy Birthday. Is there anything that I can do to make him more confident and more accepting of strange / different environments?
