school fees

im a single mum and i cannot afford to pay school fees can i get help and where my daughter does extremly well in school and i really need help

Yes, help is available. Download the School Fees: Your Rights booklet off the CALS website and read it through. It is a little difficult the first time but please persevere. Basically you qualify for a full fee exemption if the school fees form more than 10 percent of your gross annual salary. If they form less than 2 percent you do not qualify. Anywhere between 2 and 10 percent you qualify for a partial exemption. Parent 24 has a calculator for school fees which you can use if, like me, maths is not your best subject. Good luck.
