Hi Susan, I'm not too convinced by your answer. I breastfed both my girls for 18 months each with the youngest one weaned in December. I do not regret one single feed and fully believe in the benefits of breastfeeding, but my breast look terrible :-) Besides that i have very little "breast" left (went from a 36C to a 34B) they do sag as well. Not too much as there is not enough left to sag, but alas! I also lost some weight which didn't help the cause, but I do thing breastfeeding twice, for so long, definitely contributed greatly to the little bits I'm left with now! However, with all said and done, breast is best!!!
I have BF one child for 8 months and have to agree, mine are pretty much back to normal a year later. Maybe slightly smaller but not much.
I also don't agree i had 3 kids and I went from a 34DD to A 32C and it did sag. But I must admit my kids are very healthy very little problems health wise. Breast defnitly is best for them and the pocket but not for the boobs.
My original 34A boobs are back - after breast feeding 3 children - the last until she was 3 years!! While they've always been small, they're also still sexy! I do not use any kind of bra, have no sag at all and the nipples don't even point downwards. I do have an active lifestyle - and I do have fair upper body strength (from picking my kids up!!), which may help this along.
I am with the experts on this gravity exertion on bigger boobs causes greater sag than breastfeeding and as they said bodily changes also have greater influence too. ma gf has gorgeous perky boobs post 2 very long breastfeeds and i think genetics also plays a part in the overall size shape tone and perkiness of boobs as with other physiological characteristics
at least you can say drinks on me
It is not the feeding that changes the shape, but the mere hormonal response to pregnancy. They will change long before baby is even here. Nipples darken (to help baby find them) etc. Most of it reverts back to normal some time after pregnancy. I'm a dad to an 8 month old, (wife was 36 at birth). Compared to the wonder of birth and that special little person, the changes are a non-event.
I breastfed my twins for 13 months. Before my pregnancy I was a 34 b and had rather strange shaped breasts. After breastfeeding I am a 38 c and even now at age 52 still have beautiful, perky breasts provided by nature,so it really does depend on the individual.
Simzah, my wife of 30 years now, breastfed both our kids to 18 months each, yes her cute boobs did change shape. Slightly. But i didn't marry her just for those "sexy boobs" i married her and still love her for the amazing woman she is. Keep that in focus and any changes in her body structure become of minor concern. All the best.
