Birthday parties are stressful. Ask me, I know. Just this weekend we didn't throw my son a birthday party. We "just had cake and tea" for his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins (who number around 16 people) and that was stressful as is.

So I can't imagine what it's going to be like when we throw him an actually birthday party next year when he turns three.
