Ash Ruiz from Palm Beach County in Florida, USA, describes music as his medicine.
And after watching this video you’ll be inclined to agree with him.
His grandmother Jean taught him a song when he was eight years old. From then on it became a sort of tradition to sing the song - Incredible by Nat King Cole, annually.
He sang it to her over the phone and sometimes through Skype, but he made sure that no matter where he was in the world, he never missed the tradition.
"She lost her voice in her late 80s," said Ash.
But when Grandma Jean celebrated her 98th birthday on July 27, Ash decided to use technology to capture an incredible moment.
He filmed himself as he sat beside his grandmother on her bed and sang her special birthday song, with so much love.
When he came to the part where the lyrics said: "No one's more unforgettable in any way," she could no longer hold back her emotions.
The tears came down as she wept silently.
Ash told The Daily Mail he hopes that others will also be inspired by the video to spend more time with their loved ones, “especially when our years are closer to our first breath and last.”
“When I re-watch it I have no idea how I held it together for most of the song ... I did lose it at the end and what you don't see is the sweet tears and 'I love yous' that followed.”
