"That was the first purchase that I made with the money that I got. I bought my mom a car because I messed up a lot of her cars when I was young. So I got her a brand new car," said a chuffed Andy during a conference a day ahead of a celebratory parade in his hometown of Imperial Valley in California, USA. 

Andy spoke to the media about the secret to his win, what he thinks about being dubbed the "Mexican Rocky" and how he splurged his post-win spoils on his mom.
