20-year-old makeup artist Shalom Blac burned in a hot oil accident at the age of nine in her family store in Nigeria.

In the video she explains how excruciating the pain was: "I'm screaming, crying, trying to like, whatever pain I was feeling, I'm trying to rip it off of my face and my body. My skin was basically everywhere on the floor."

Makeup has helped her with the bullying at school, but she says it's not the reason why she is happy. "Makeup is not the reason I am happy. I am happy because I love myself."
