Polenta pizza bases


  • 250g packet of polenta
  • 500ml water
  • Pinch of salt


  1. Boil 500ml of water.
  2. When it reaches the boil, add a pinch of salt and the polenta.
  3. Stir vigorously and when it has the consistency of mashed potatoes, remove from heat.
  4. On a lightly oiled baking tray, press the mixture into a thin pizza base.
  5. Leave to harden for about 15 minutes and add your favourite pizza toppings like tomato paste and Parmesan, mozzarella and ham.
  6. Grill until toppings are cooked.
