The shelves are stocked with marshmallows eggs and we've seen pretty much every version of the Easter Bunny in the past few weeks.
With the long weekend upon us, we thought we'd put a little something together that you can make yourself.
So forget all that store-bought stuff. Try our easy chocolate mousse cups that looks a lot like bunny bait hidden underground. We're sure the kids will absolutely love helping out this time with these yummy Easter treats.
Ingredients
- Crushed Oreos
- Chocolate mousse (Looking for a delicious chocolate mousse recipe? Check out our delicious cream, caramel and cocoa mix here: WATCH #ParentingHacks: How to make decadent mousse)
- Green icing sugar
- Speckled eggs
Tips and tricks
- Use a clear container to layer your mousse and crushed Oreos – this gives the effect of the dirt and sand beneath the grass.
- Don't crush your Oreos too finely; the bigger chunks also help to create the effect of rocks.
- Make a little hole or burrow in the center of your mousse so it appears as though the eggs have been dug up. Removing some of the Oreos will also help your icing stick instead of lifting all the pieces up.
