Or perhaps you've sworn to stick to parenting the old fashion way without the use of mobile phones and modern technology. 

If you haven't at least tried one out, we've put together some of our favourite apps for you to try before writing off the idea completely.

  Totally Pregnant

Pregnancy advice from real people according to your timeline and location.

This is a great app for first-time pregnancies. 

The app navigates you through 6 sections, namely, My Week, Shop, Video, My Experts, Classes and Toolbox. You'll find everything from pregnancy advice to birth plans to useful contact sheets. 

We love that this app also offers a chance for moms-to-be to interact with moms who've been there, done that and have words of advice to share.

  Feed Baby Tracker

Tracks and monitors all aspects of your baby's breastfeeding, growth and development. 

From nappy changes to bottle and breast feeds, you can use this app to keep track of it all. You might think that keeping a record of all this is unnecessary but users praised its usefulness while some moms have said that it saved them from 'mommy brain'.

  Smile Mom - Local Moms Network 

Get real-time advice from other moms with similar-aged children.

Find local moms in your area to share ideas and get advice from. The app also provides a platform for parents to buy and sell baby and child items.

Get to know other moms using the app and organise play dates and meet ups according to your location.

 MMGuardian Parenting App

"Allows parents to send commands and remotely manage the configuration of the child's phone app." 

This app can help you quickly locate your child's phone by viewing it's location on your maps app.

It can also lock or unlock your child's phone with a simple button press. (And no, your child won't be able to simply just uninstall it without certain codes and processes that work via you).

Not only is the app free, it also work offline (so no wifi needed!)

  New Dad - Pregnancy For Dads

All the information you need to stay updated with your partner's pregnancy.

This app takes all the guess-work out of pregnancy for dads and provides a great amount of support once you've set your partner's due date. 

Features include weekly updates of the baby's growth, various perspectives on what's going on inside mom-to-be's body will the baby developed and a widget for dads to submit their ideas and advice through the pregnancy stages.

  Cozi Family Organiser

Helps you manage your family's schedules, timetables and calendars. 

The Cozi Family Organiser app won the 'Appy award' after it was voted Best Family App and named a "must-have" app for a better life by The TODAY Show. 

From shopping lists, to recipes and family calendars this app has it all. The app allows for everyone in the family to keep up to date and in sync once they have the app.
