When a music studio in the US ran a competition to find a new singer-songwriter, they found something completely unexpected and absolutely heart-warming instead: Instead of sending them a Youtube link, 96-year-old Fred Stobaugh posted them the hand-written lyrics to a song dedicated to his late wife of 75 years, Lorraine. The studio then decided to turn Fred’s lyrics into an actual song as a gift to him, according to DigitalJournal.com
The lyrics are simple: They call out for his lost love and the wonderful memories
of a life spent together.*Update: Fred's video has since been shared all over the internet, driving sales of his song to number one on iTunes!
