The national lockdown has just begun and you may have already reached the end of ideas on what to do as a family.

Do not fret!

There are plenty of fun things you can still do indoors despite the lockdown.

Here's a list of things you can try out as a family:

Do chores

This is the time to take advantage of assigning specific duties to specific family members.

It can also help with instilling a sense of responsibility in your children, and you'd be surprised by how much children, especially toddlers, like to help out.

Take advantage of that.

Build a fort

To build a fort you can use cardboard boxes, pillows and blanket or any other household materials.

You can use it as a relaxing spot for your child, put some books in it or some board games and join in on the fun.

Play games

Games like Hide-and-Seek, 30 Seconds, Uno, and other card games (or any other fun game) you can think of can be a nice way of spending more time together as a family.

Sudoko is also a nice option and so are crossword puzzles for older children.

See it as having fun and keeping the brain healthy and sharp.

Visit museums virtually

There are many European museum sites you can visit that'll offer you the best virtual experience.

Read or listen to books

There are over 700 free books available online.

The Cambridge University Press is one great source to check out, especially if you're into academic reading.

This is also very useful for a child that is in university and in need of more academic resources.

Free audio books for people of all ages are available on Audible: Find The Jungle Book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and dozens of other free audible stories here

As a family you can sit together and listen to the audio books of your choice.
