Fatherhood is probably one of the biggest events in any man's life.

There is solid proof that after becoming a mom, women are not the same person. It is an unavoidable fact that the whole journey to parenthood is life changing for men too.

Maybe you are worrying about how you are going to afford a baby, or simply the whole idea of fatherhood hasn't quite sunk in yet. But, as overwhelming as the emotions can get, one thing is for sure: a baby brings joy too.

On May 17, an overjoyed Trey Songz shared the happy news that he had become a first-time dad. The announcement was made through an Instagram post, with an image of his son Noah.

Prince Harry

The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan welcomed their first child, a son, on 6 May 2019.

Debuting their little boy in St. George's Hall in Windsor Castle the couple announced his name: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The South African Idols season 8 winner, Khaya, and former Miss South Africa Ntando Kunene-Mthethwa welcomed their first child together on 8 February 2019.

The happy dad took to Instagram to announce the arrival of their son Oyinkosi.

Khaya wrote, "Yesterday I experienced a love I never knew existed! Nyambose, Dingiswayo siyakwamukela. @mthethwa_ntando I have no words to thank you Sthandwa Sami. Ngiyabonga."

Gordon Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay and wife Tana are now parents of five.

On 4 April 2019, Gordon shared on Instagram, "After 3 Baftas and one Emmy... finally we have won an Oscar, please welcome Oscar James Ramsay, who touched down at 12:58 today for some lunch!" 

Kanye West

On May 10, Kim Kardashian West announced that she and rapper Kanye West had welcomed a son, Psalm West, via a surrogate.

Psalm is the fourth child of Kim and Kanye, after Chicago, Saint and North.

Chris Fischer

Also a chef, husband to Amy Schumer, Chris Fischer welcomed his baby boy just before the Sussex royal baby was born.

Taking to social media to announce the birth, Amy captioned a beautiful photo of the new family "10:55 pm last night. Our Royal baby was born."

She later revealed his name, is Gene Attell Fischer.

Oros Mampofu

Actor Oros Mampofu and his fiancé Bianca Carmichael announced on social media that they were expecting a baby and were engaged. Just before Valentines Day, the couple welcomed their baby girl Aarya Mampofu.

Just over a week after the birth of Aarya the new dad took to social media to announce the good news, thanking God for his blessing.

Jerry Ferrara

"Power" actor Jerry Ferrara and his wife, actress Breanne Racano, welcomed their first child, son Jacob, on May 5 the actor revealed on Instagram.

Captioning the photo of his family, "Mom and baby are doing great and I’m still amazed by the strength, will power, determination and self-belief my wife showed during birth. It’s the greatest thing I’ve ever seen anyone do in my lifetime."
