Mila Kunis: a bad mom or only human?

accreditation

Parenting is no easy job and we're all bound to make mistakes at some point. Celebs are no different and Mila Kunis has just proven that to be true.

In an interview with Babble.comKunis recalled a trip she took last year with daughter Wyatt to visit her husband Ashton Kutcher at work. While driving she suddenly realised that she had forgotten to strap the little one into her car seat.

"I was like, oh, f**k me," she said. "And I'm on the 101, and she's just like blah, like fine in her car seat, nothing, no strap whatsoever. And I think I just turned white." She then pulled over and buckled Wyatt in. Kunis told Babble that she later cried when she told Kutcher about the incident.

However, just a few weeks ago she found that Kutcher had made the same mistake with their daughter. In the interview Kunis said that discovering this made her feel less alone in her chaotic parenting journey that moms and dads know all too well.

Bad parenting or a mistake?

In a world where we all strive to be "perfect" parents, we need to ask ourselves: "Is there such a thing as the perfect parent?"

Let's get real and admit that we've all made the odd mistake of not strapping in our kids, forgetting to pack in extra lunch for after school activities, or even forgetting what time to pick up our kids. Yet we still feel like we have the right to judge others.

Yes, some of these mistakes can have tragic consequences. But before we play judge and jury, take a moment and think about how it would have made you feel if you were in that position.

Becoming a parent is one of the greatest blessings bestowed on us and we should cherish every moment. Live for the great memories but also learn from the mistakes. After all, how will we grow?
