A young mom who fell into a coma during her near-fatal Caesarean section has finally woken up and met her baby son for the first time.

Nur Fadilla from Kota Bharu in Malaysia reportedly underwent a C-section on 18 November last year after doctors had tried to induce labour three times.

During the procedure, the 28-year-old woman reportedly experienced complications which stopped her heart.

Fortunately, doctors were able to deliver her baby boy and save Fadilla’s life, but she slipped into a coma.

“Her heart started beating again when the baby was born, but due to the lack of oxygen in her brain she fell into a coma,” Fadilla’s cousin Nur Hasirah said.

She added that Fadilla was “conscious and stable” before she was taken to the delivery room.

Fadilla woke up from her coma and was finally able to meet her son, who’s now five months old, according to reports.

The mom of one “cried her eyes out” when she got to cuddle her baby boy for the first time, Hasirah said, adding that the meeting was heartwarming. And her advice to the new mom was, “Be strong for your child. May God heal you.”
