Tired of having children that demand things that they haven’t worked for – well this mom’s solution might just be what you need!

Shaketha McGregor from Georgia in the US was fed up with her children’s demands, so she found an ingenious way to make them earn their allowance.

Taking to her Facebook page, the mom-of-three revealed to her followers she’s asked her children to apply for different household job positions to earn their allowance, Mirror reported.

The main job vacancies advertised included kitchen manager, lead housekeeper and laundry supervisor.

“So my children continue to ask for a new cellphone, an allowance, and to go places,” Shaketha captioned the post which has since gone viral and received more than 200 000 likes.

“Yesterday I told them that I've heard their requests and that I'll have a surprise for them today when they get home from school.

“Surprise!! It's a whole hiring event! If you want it, work for it, earn it!”

Speaking to Today Parents, the genius mom decided to educate her children about financial independence after a recent shopping experience.

“I gave each of them a few bucks and said, ‘Spend it any way you want.’

“It was different than me buying them something – they were suddenly checking prices. I noticed they were more cautious because it was their money. They wanted to save,” she said.

This was what sparked the single mom to find different ways to “teach them about credit and how to budget their time”.

In another post revealing how the interviews went, Shaketha shared pictures of the application forms her children adorably filled in.

“I see nobody wanted to do the kitchen. I hate dishes too, that's why it's on the job board!” she added in the caption.

This mom definitely means business!
