A boy with autism has become a social media sensation after a video of him singing went viral.

Justin Kiely (9) from Dublin, Ireland, was diagnosed with autism when he was just three years old, Daily Mail reports.

Because of his autism, Justin is highly sensitive to sound and has had episodes of hysteria in the past whenever he heard loud noises. As a result, his parents would avoid taking him to birthday parties or large gatherings, and didn’t really play music around him.

His mother, Andrea Kiely (26), secretly recorded her son singing and decided to share the special moment with the world, Irish Post reports.

The clip has since been viewed and shared thousands of times on Facebook.

“Thanks, everyone, for the love and support Justin has got for his little video over the last couple of days we are truly blown away,” Andrea wrote in response to the reaction on Facebook.

“As I’m sure you all know Justin has autism and struggles with sound and music most of the time & to hear him sing so beautifully & enjoying the music is just amazing.”

The mom believes Justin’s talent for singing has brought him a new-found happiness and says he enjoys singing along to Lady Gaga and Tina Turner.

“I just want him to be happy. Justin couldn’t speak until he was nearly three,” she added.

“He amazes me every day, so if singing brings him happiness, I want him to sing for the rest of his life.”
