Amazing movie moms
Here are a list of our favorite movie moms we secretly wish were ours!
Having a superhero for a parent is a scary prospect. Well imagine Mrs. Helen Incredible, a.k.a. Elastigirl, as your mom. She's funny, she's smart, she's supportive and understanding of her superkids, and she can fly a plane.
Toni Collette who plays Sheryl Hoover in "Little Miss Sunshine", is a mother who seriously has to put up with a lot. She has a husband who is the worst motivation speaker and a son who is silent, but she holds the clan together.
Rachel Griffiths who plays Lorri Morris in "The Rookie", is admired for her toughness. When her husband is offered a chance in his 40s to play professional baseball, she encourages him to chase his dreams.
No mom wants to deal with a pregnant teenage daughter. But Bren MacGuff handles Juno's news with tranquility and humor, which makes us think she would handle just about everything and she doesn't abandon Juno in any time of need.
No mom kicks as much butt as Sarah Connor. She's the entire heart of the "Terminator" saga. Most moms just want their kids to go to college and get a good job. Not Sarah. Her destiny is to mother, train, and protect John Connor.
Mrs. Molly Weasley is the mom who provides a home away from Hogwarts. Though she's known for spanking someone with a broomstick, or delivering a killing spell, she's pretty sweet and relaxed for a mom of seven!
It doesn't matter what you look like or what your IQ is, Mama Gump played by Sally Field, will love and defend you unconditionally. Sure, she speaks in goofy slogans, but she always has a happy spin on everything.
Erin Brockovich played by Julia Roberts is the type of mom who will do anything to make sure her kids are taken care of. Yes she might have abandoned them at some point in the film, but she helps families whose lives are shattered.
Few of us have moms as relaxed and witty about everything as "Easy A'"s, Mama Penderghast. She laughs about detention, barely blinks an eye when her daughter starts wearing corsets to school, she simply shares her own torrid past.
Florence “Rusty” Dennis played by Cher in "Mask", is most admired for her humor. A depressed and drug-addicted motorcycle mama is hardly anyone’s idea of an ideal mother, But Rusty is funny and tough-minded and lives life to the fullest!
Angelina Jolie plays the determined, Christine Collins in "Changeling", a grief-stricken mother takes on the LAPD to her own detriment when they fail to find her missing son, and she will won't give up until she finds him! What a mom!
It's a given that moms don't like or approve of the music that you listen to, and Elaine Miller in "Almost Famous" is certainly no exception. She's a straight-laced college professor who frowns on rock music, but she doesn't ban it!
