My shining moment
Those memorable moments of childhood really do last forever.

I was the captain of the under 9 netball team for one game when the usual captain and vice-captain were sick.

Oh, and I won the Maths cup in Grade 7.

Given that it's over 30 years ago that these shining moments took place, you'd be surprised how proud they still make me feel.

I hope I can remember to respect similar small victories in my children's lives. Because they really will stay with them forever.
