If you could be whipped back to school right now, would you go?
I wouldn't. By and large school was a balance of feeling awkward, a few good buddies, finding the work easy enough but mostly boring, and trying to hide in the toilets whenever there was a cross-country or a swimming class.
Some teachers tried hard, but others were sarcastic, dull or... well, psycho.
I look at my sons confidently bestriding sports fields and wonder if that would have been the answer to my sense of being terminally uncool.
Take me back to school tomorrow? No thanks.
How about you? Tell us your school stories and you could win one one of two family tickets we're giving away to the first Your Child Expo at the CTICC in Cape Town from 26 to 28 March. Each ticket allows free entry to two adults and three children. Oh, and don't worry, Gauteng's turn is coming too soon.
