It starts with a sneeze.

Close behind are the sniffing, the night coughing, the headaches and the chesty breathing. Just another Spring in a household where everyone is allergic to pollen, dust or whatever it is that's in the air and up our noses.

10-year-old Joel finished a box of tissues in class last week. In one day.

Miles, 16, has a constant post-nasal cough that disturbs his sleep - and mine.

I could sneeze for the Springbok sneezing team.

I don't remember there being this level of allergies when I was a child. My sister had hayfever, but she was weird that way. These days if your child doesn't have an allergy you're a social outcast.

Here's some stuff to read between visits to the pharmacy:

Disease trumps allergy

Is this the worst allergy year yet?

Chlorine causes allergies

Signs of sinus

What do you say? Are allergies a fashion, or is there something different going on? Your allergy saga could win you a R250 voucher from kalahari.net
