'Ooh, you look JUST like your brother. You're a mini version!'
The girls at the high school are being sweet to my 11-year-old, but the truth is, he is not as much of a clone of his brother as he may look.
He's more of an extrovert, but there are also more subtle differences in his tastes for food, books and clothes.
As the youngest of three children myself, I know that feeling of an older sibling's looming shadow and the expectations it brings.
But I still sometimes find myself referring to 'the boys' as though they are just one creature with one set of wants and needs.
