What I would tell baby mama me

If I could visit myself when my kids were babies, here's what I'd tell me:

  • Don't jiggle that baby to sleep. He doesn't need it and you'll be exhausted for 9 months straight.
  • Put a bit more effort into your walks with the pram and you might fight off a decade of flab. Oh, and lay off the toasted peanut butter and banana sarmies.
  • Don't be shy to speak Afrikaans to the baby, he'll learn both languages and you'll save on extra lessons.
  • You're a good enough mommy, don't cry so much about the odd mistake.

What do you wish you could go back and tell baby mama or papa you? Share it now! The writer of the winning email gets a limited edition Parent24 T-shirt.
