'Why did you have children if you only wanted them to sleep all the time?' asked my older son, watching me trying to rock his baby brother to dreamland.
I never did find an answer to that one, or to many of the other 'why?' questions I was asked. I've tried to avoid resorting to 'because I said so' or 'because pigs can't fly'. But there are stages of a child's life when the word 'why' becomes an endless torture, and you end up just begging for some respite.
We've gathered some links about answering difficult questions:
Why can't they talk one at a time?
Why is honesty the best policy?
Why are siblings so different?
And we'd love to hear some of your challenging 'Why' moments. Your best story could win you one of our highly desirable Parent24 T-shirts.
Oh, and if you haven't completed our survey yet, whhhhyyy not go do it now?
