It’s a mystery, and yet... not. The parenting paradox is this - we don’t raise them for when we’re around, we raise them so that they’ll be ok when we’re not. It’s not just about keeping them out of rehab or prison, but equipping them for all of their adventures outside your home.
The fact is, they’re probably better behaved than I am.
