Nine months of pregnancy reduced to a few minutes of video- we’ve seen quirky ones, funny ones and touching ones. Now we’ve found one that’s inspiring and calming- a yoga enthusiast practising the disciplines of breathing and balancing throughout her pregnancy, all reduced to five minutes of footage.

Is it safe?

Moms-to-be may be concerned that their pregnancy may hinder their exercise, sports or fitness regimes. A doctor will be able to assess an individual’s ability to be active according to their history and/or any risks to the baby. Most doctors do recommend basic fitness as being beneficial to the baby and mother, provided that there are no complications.

Recommended exercises for pregnant women include stationery cycling, walking, Pilates, yoga, swimming and any exercises which exercise the pelvic floor muscles- these are known as Kegal exercises.
